African Election Insights Series: Kenya

A number of important political elections are taking place across Africa in 2017 which are likely to impact our clients and the work they do across the continent. We have worked closely with our best friend firms to provide insights on the potential effect of these elections on key business areas in their respective jurisdictions.

In the first instalment we explore, with law firm Anjarwalla & Khanna, the potential effect of the Kenyan election due in August, on key areas of the country. Depending on whether the current leadership remains or changes, policy changes could impact Kenya’s technology, infrastructure and energy sectors, its framework on public-private partnerships and, potentially, the size of Kenya’s export markets.
