Linklaters appoints Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer
Linklaters is delighted to welcome Tricia Weener to the firm as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, based in its London office, from which she will lead the global business development and marketing function. Accountable for brand, marketing, business development and client engagement, she will play a pivotal role in driving the firm's strategic direction and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Returning to the UK after nearly 12 years overseas, Tricia moved to Hong Kong with HSBC in 2013 to lead marketing in Asia before being promoted to Global Chief Marketing Officer, Managing Director of Wholesale Banking in 2019. In this role she was accountable for marketing and brand building, supporting growth in market share and revenue across 54 markets and leading a large diverse team globally.
In Jan 2021, she joined the Executive Board of Nordics-based global elevator and escalator company KONE, as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing & Communications. Tricia advanced KONE’s strategy to expand the scope of business with customers, embedded sustainability across offerings and operations and established and led the Marketing & Sales Renewal program to connect marketing and sales to create a competitive advantage for KONE.
Most recently Tricia was Fractional Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for tech scale-up, Globacap, a leading capital markets technology firm, providing software as a service to institutions. In this role she supported the launch of Globacap in the US and provided strategic input to the executive leadership team.
Throughout her career Tricia has taken a keen interest in diversity, equity and inclusion, launching SPARK, the first ever female employee resource group at KONE and taking an active role in the Balance women’s network, LGBTQI and ‘Black Lives Matter’ initiatives at HSBC.
