Overview
Maike specializes in banking and insurance supervisory law, securities and investment law. Special focus on advising French banks and financial services providers on the interplay of German and French supervisory law and cross-border banking transactions.

Her recent experience includes:
- Advent International, Centerbridge and their co-investors: Advising on the regulatory process in connection with the voluntary takeover offer to acquire S-Dax-listed Aareal Bank AG.
- Several international investment banks on their strategic considerations in light of Brexit in particular on licensing/European Passport issues, corporate governance and risk management as well as compliance and AML matters
- NORD/LB on their restructuring and recapitalisation
Professional experience
Maike joined Linklaters as an associate in 2018. She was on secondment to the Linklaters Paris office in 2019 and has since worked for the regulatory team in Paris and Frankfurt.
Education and qualifications
Maike studied law at the Universities of Mainz and Paris XII. She has the Maître en droit. She did part of her legal traineeship in the London office of an international law firm.
She speaks German, English and French.
