Linklaters advises Plateforme Industrielle d’Adétikopé (PIA), Togo’s first integrated industrial zone, on its financing by BOAD
Linklaters has advised Plateforme Industrielle d’Adétikopé (PIA) a joint-venture between Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (IIP) and the Togolese State on the first line of financing of Togo’s first integrated industrial zone, by the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
Located 15 km north of Lomé, PIA will promote the local processing of Togolese agricultural products and the industrialisation of several key sectors and should lead to the creation of 35,000 local jobs. The multi-sector industrial park with its integrated logistics services will play a catalytic role in supporting Togo's economic growth, regional integration and trade.
We had already advised Arise IIP in 2020 on the creation of the platform, which represents a total investment of 200 million euros and aims to create a logistics hub to industrialise the local processing of many Togolese products, particularly from agriculture, such as cotton, cashew nuts, soy, rice and sesame, and thus maximise added value for the country.
The Linklaters Paris team was led by Bertrand Andriani, partner, Aymeric Voisin, managing associate, along with Etienne Paletto, associate in Energy and Infrastructure.
