Nikolay's most recent experience includes:

  • Turk Eximbank: advising the Turkish export credit agency on a landmark investment in Africa Finance Corporation, the pan-African infrastructure-focused multilateral financial institution.
  • Volkswagen Group: Advising on the sale of Volkswagen Group Rus to local investor Art-Finance LLC.
  • DP World: advising on its simultaneous acquisition of a 58% interest in Evyap’s Evyap Port and sale of a 42% interest in its DP World Yarimca port to Evyap.
  • A leading German plant breeder: advising the German barley-breeding group on its joint venture with a French family-owned business.
  • Metair Investments Limited: advising a leading South African investment holding company on entering into an agreement to dispose of its Turkish business, the Mutlu Group, to Quexco Incorporated.
  • Multinational energy company: advising on a proposed disposal of its Russian operations.

In 2022, Nikolay joined the Linklaters Corporate/M&A team in Düsseldorf. 

 

Education and qualifications

Nikolay studied jurisprudence at the Moscow State Law University (MGYuA). He is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.

He speaks Russian, English, German and French.
