Overview

Penelope Jensen is a partner in Linklaters' U.S. Restructuring & Insolvency practice. She advises administrative agents, steering committees, individual lenders and other counterparties facing bankruptcy and insolvency-related issues on complex credits of all sizes, with particular expertise in chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. Penelope has also represented numerous successful bidders in connection with sale processes under Section 363 of the US Bankruptcy Code.

  • McDermott International, Ltd: advising Crédit Agricole CIB on the successful cross-border restructuring implemented through a UK Restructuring Plan, Dutch WHOAs and chapter 15 cases.
  • Global Brands Group: advising the secured lenders in the Group’s multi-jurisdictional wind-down, implemented through chapter 11 cases, a UK administration, and other insolvency proceedings in Europe and Asia.
  • Lonestar Resources Inc.: advising Citibank as administrative agent and collateral agent to the RBL lenders, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating, LLC: advising Citibank as administrative agent and collateral agent to the RBL lenders, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • Pride Group Holdings Inc.: advising the Company and the foreign representative on its restructuring, including the chapter 15 cases.
  • Venator Materials plc: representing Barclays Bank plc as ancillary facility lender in the chapter 15 cases.
  • GenesisCare: advising certain hedge counterparties and prepetition lenders in the chapter 11 cases.
  • McDermott International, Inc.: advising Crédit Agricole CIB, as revolving/LC agent and collateral agent under the prepetition, DIP, and exit credit facilities, on the chapter 11 cases.
  • Titan Energy, LLC: advising the administrative agent for the senior secured lender group in the company’s out-of-court restructuring.
  • Memorial Production Operating LLC: advising the administrative agent for the senior secured lender group in the prearranged chapter 11 cases. 
  • Chicago Bridge & Iron Company NV: advising the administrative agent and collateral agent in the out-of-court restructuring, which resulted in a merger with McDermott International, Inc.
  • Atlas Resource Partners L.P.: advising the administrative agent for the senior secured lender group in the prepackaged chapter 11 case.
  • Sabine Oil & Gas: advising the administrative agent for the senior secured lender group in the highly litigious chapter 11 cases.
  • Molino Cañuelas: advising an ad hoc committee of secured and unsecured lenders on the out of-court restructuring of the company.
