Claire Prospert

Claire is a partner in the Luxembourg investment funds group.

Claire's expertise encompasses a robust suite of services within the investment funds sphere, including the sophisticated structuring of Luxembourg alternative investment funds. Her knowledge spans a variety of private market classes such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt, and hedge funds.

Her practice includes all types of investment fund structures, including the setting up of co-investment structures and customised managed accounts. She further covers fund regulatory matters and provides day-to-day assistance to asset managers, both in the regulated and unregulated investments funds sphere.

Claire has also a keen insight into retail investment funds, including UCITS, UCIs and ELTIFS and acts as legal counsel to a number of flagship funds managed by industry-leading asset managers.

As the DE&I partner of the Luxembourg office, Claire champions a culture of inclusion, equity, and diversity within Linklaters. As such she sponsors and mentors participants in Linklaters’ Stepping Forward, Women’s Leadership and Inspire Programmes and regularly participates in the Firm’s Reverse Mentoring Programme.

Claire has acted for and advised, among others:

• LaSalle Investment Management on a number of real estate fund and their SFDR implementation project.
• CBRE Investment Management on the establishment of their open-ended European residential fund. 
• Aberdeen Standard on the establishment of several of their real estate funds and ongoing advice on their fund of real estate funds structures.
• Aviva Investors on the establishment of their Perpetual Capital Fund, an open-ended value add and opportunistic real estate fund.
• Partners Group in the setting-up of several of their private equity, infrastructure and private debt funds.

Claire holds a Degree in law from the University of Aix-en-Provence (France), a Master’s degree in law from Stockholm University (Sweden) and Ludwig Maximilian University (Germany) as well as an LL.M. from the University College of London (UK).
