Overview
Emma is a managing associate in the Structured Finance Team in London. She advises on the financing of infrastructure and utilities as well as real estate assets.
She acts for a broad range of corporates as well as lenders and swap counterparties, with a particular focus on regulatory finance.
Emma advises on loans, bonds (including public bond issuances), private placements, swaps and derivatives. She has experience in acquisition financings and refinancings, whole business securitisations, MidCo financings, debt restructurings and swap restructurings.
Work highlights
Emma’s recent experience includes advising:
- Thames Water on the 2022 and 2023 equity raises, and on ongoing restructuring, strategic, regulatory and financing advice.
- Manchester Airports Group on their ongoing multi-source debt financing structure, including a complex consent solicitation in relation to COVID-related waivers and related equity raise.
- SGS and Metrocentre on the restructuring of the CMBS of ex-intu UK shopping centres, involving the amendment and extension of existing debt, as well as the introduction of new super senior notes and transition of ownership away from intu.
- Song Capital on a bespoke ground debt transaction
- Various Banks and corporates on the structuring of solutions to restructure RPI-linked swaps
- The sponsors on the Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm, East Anglian ONE Windfarm and Seagreen Offshore Windfarm in respect of their financing and derivatives transactions.
