Overview

Kevin advises companies and investment banks on initial public offerings and rights issues, Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings and U.S. private placements for high yield debt, convertible bonds and equity issuances, as well as on private equity merger and acquisition transactions in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Linklaters in 2016, Kevin was a partner at an international firm based in Hong Kong.

Work highlights

Kevin has led on many significant capital markets transactions. These include advising:

  • Macquarie Capital, Haitong International Securities Company, Guotai Junan Securities (Hong Kong) and China Industrial Securities International Capital as the underwriters on the HK$1.8bn IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Rule 144A/Regulation S global offering of Virscend Education Company
  • the underwriters on the HK$7bn IPO of Bank of Jinzhou on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the largest IPO of a PRC commercial bank in Hong Kong in 2015
  • UBS, China International Capital Corporation, J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific), Deutsche Bank, Agricultural Bank of China International and Haitong International as underwriters on the HK$4bn listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Rule144A/Regulation S global offering of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group the placing agents on an accelerated book build of equity and a rights issue by Lonza Group, a major Swiss pharmaceutical company
  • the underwriters on a high yield bond issued by Hapag Lloyd, the German shipping company
  • MGM China, a Macao casino operator, on its HK$11.7bn IPO on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
  • BOCI Asia, Citigroup Global Markets and J.P. Morgan Securities as joint lead managers on a US$300m note issue by China Taiping Capital

Education and qualifications

Kevin studied political science at Swarthmore College, and holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
