Lillian Childress

Lillian is an Associate in Linklaters’ U.S. Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Practice. She has experience in False Claims Act qui tam actions, internal investigations, sports law, government enforcement actions, and white-collar defense.

Work highlights:

• A national medical device company with global operations: defending company against False Claims Act allegations in a qui tam action.
• A major national sports league organization: advising on internal workplace investigations and the development of company policies to promote and monitor employee compliance.
• A multinational financial institution: conducting internal investigations of the financial institution’s records against the Securities and Exchange Commission’s alleged violations of federal securities laws.
• A food and beverage company: representing company in a class action lawsuit where plaintiffs alleged violations of antitrust and consumer protection laws.
• A corporate officer: representing a former CEO against criminal allegations brought by the Department of Justice of securities fraud, wire fraud and insider trading.
• Pro bono representation in an ACLU Justice Lab discriminatory policing case: representing individuals to safeguard the constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures at both the district court and appellate court levels.

Lillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lillian also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
