Linklaters advises lenders to Boralex on a renewable energy Corporate PPA with IBM France

Linklaters advised lenders to Boralex on a Corporate PPA benefiting IBM France. Pursuant to this Corporate PPA, French Boralex’s wind asset portfolio will supply IBM France and its French data centres with renewable energy covering c.55% of IBM France’s electricity needs for a five-year period. All of the electricity will be generated from existing wind farm assets. Axpo Solutions acts as aggregator.

This is the latest example of Corporate PPA structures being used in France to supply traceable renewable energy to corporate end-users. The French Corporate PPA market is buoyant, with Boralex one of its pioneers. Linklaters is proud to have taken part in this achievement for the Boralex team, which contributes to the on-going energy transition.
