Linklaters advises Getir on acquisition of UK rival Weezy

Linklaters has advised Getir, the Turkish "ultrafast" delivery service for grocery items and restaurant food deliveries, on the acquisition of its UK rival, Weezy. The acquisition will consolidate Getir’s position as a key player in the UK’s fast-growing rapid delivery market. Getir has expanded into eight other countries, including the UK and US, since the start of this year.

The Linklaters team advising on the acquisition was led by partner and UK Head of the firm’s Technology sector team Derek Tong, who is based in London.
