Overview

Anna practice includes advising on change in controls, transaction structuring, setting up of regulated entities and compliance with prudential rules.

She regularly advises clients on resolutions and other crisis management situations regarding financial regulated institutions as well as private equity funds in relation to distressed regulated investments.

She has gained deep knowledge of investment funds  by advising major global asset managers as well as emerging players.

She advised clients on the implementation of numerous EU regulatory reforms initiatives such as AIFMD II, MiFID II, CRD VI/CRR III, BRRD II, Solvency II and IRRD.

Anna has experience of new product development and marketing, including in the fintech space, financial market infrastructure and trading issues such as market abuse and also assists clients on structured products including lending, repo transactions and ISDA documented derivatives.

Anna worked with Linklaters Amsterdam between 2021 and 2023 and has been seconded in Linklaters London in 2011-2012.

Anna’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Assicurazioni Generali: advising on the approx. €800m acquisition of Conning Holdings Limited, a leading global asset manager for insurance and institutional clients, from Cathay Life, a subsidiary of Cathay Financial Holdings, one of the largest Asia-based financial institutions, creating a long-term partnership with Cathay Life.
  • Vesper Infrastructure Partners: advising on the set up of their first infrastructure fund;
  • Nexi: assistance in the all-share merger of Nets into Nexi, creating European paytech leader and the subsequent merger of SIA.
  • UBI's board of directors: assistance in connection with the takeover bid by Intesa Sanpaolo (the largest bank takeover deal ever concluded in Italy).
  • Bain Capital Credit: advising on the acquisition of a 99.99% shareholding in Hypo Alpe Adria Bank (renamed Julia Portfolio Solutions) and related reorganisation.
  • Multiple international institutions: advising on the effects of Brexit on their businesses in Italy.

Education and qualifications

Anna studied law at the University of Padova and holds a J.D. in law.

She speaks Italian and English.
