Overview
Jihane is an associate in our Financial and Regulation Group in Paris, specialising in banking law and financial markets regulations.
Jihane has more than 7 years of experience in regulatory law with past international professional experiences in Luxembourg and in London as a legal adviser.
She advises domestic and international banking and financial institutions on a large variety of regulatory matters, including the following: creation and licensing of institutions, change of control, transfer of activities, provision of banking and investment services, branch and cross-border services passports, regulatory enforcement proceedings.
She regularly advises clients on MiFID II (e.g. client categorisation, inducements, business of conduct rules), AIFMD, UCITS, PRIIPS and MAR related matters.
She also has expertise on ESG topics including advice on the Taxonomy Regulation, Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), and funds communication on non-financial criteria (the AMF Position-Recommendation 2020-03).
Jihane is regularly involved in M&A transactions in the financial sector, in group reorganisations and regulatory investigations.
Professional experience
Jihane joined Linklaters as a Managing Associate in December 2021. Prior to working at Linklaters, Jihane worked more than 7 years as a regulatory senior legal adviser and then as a manager at EY law offices in Luxembourg, London and Paris within the financial services practices.
Education and qualifications
Jihane holds a Master 2 in International and European Business Law – University of Lorraine and a Master 2 in International Management - ICN Business School, Nancy.
