Overview
Lucas is an Associate in the global Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group, based in Brussels.
He advises on all aspects of EU, Belgian and Dutch competition law, including merger control, FDI screening, abuse of dominance, cartels and antitrust compliance issues.
Lucas assists clients from a wide range of sectors, including chemicals, automotive, agri-food, air-transport, FMCG and basic industries. His expertise further involves general European Union law, including the freedoms of goods and services.

Professional experience
He has represented clients from a variety of sectors in global merger control and foreign investment screening proceedings and in high-profile antitrust investigations by the Belgian and Dutch competition authorities.
He has been a member of the Brussels Bar since October 2022. Before joining Linklaters, Lucas completed internships at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU and in another prestigious law firm in Brussels, Belgium
Education and qualifications
Lucas studied law at the University of Leuven, Belgium, with a specialisation in European Law (cum laude) and holds an LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium (magna cum laude).
