Yuxin Weirich

Yuxin Weirich is a Managing Associate in our global Antitrust & Foreign Investment practice. She specialises in European and German antitrust law and investment control under German foreign trade law.

She represents clients before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action as well as before European and German courts. She also has particular expertise in advising on compliance issues and training, reviewing contracts and distribution systems as well as vertical issues.

She has sector-specific expertise in the automotive industry, digital economy and e-commerce, industrials and healthcare.

 

Work Highlights 

• Volkswagen: Advising on ongoing antitrust issues, in particular with regard to vertical issues, antitrust compliance and various co-operations.
• Volkswagen: Antitrust law advice on a research and development cooperation with Bosch in the field of autonomous driving.
• Silgan Holdings Inc: Advising in antitrust proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission regarding alleged antitrust behaviour in the metal packaging sector, in proceedings before the European courts, in compliance training and in various merger control proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office.
• La Prairie: Ongoing advice on antitrust aspects, in particular on selective distribution systems and online sales.
• QIAGEN: Advising on merger control proceedings before the European Commission and foreign investment control proceedings before the German Federal Ministry of Economics in connection with the takeover by Thermo Fischer Scientific.
• VTG: Advising in connection with the sale of the majority stake in VTG by the previous owner Morgan Stanley Infrastructure to Global Infrastructure Partners.
• Covestro: Advice on the takeover of the business division Resins & Functional Materials of Royal DSM.

Yuxin works as an Associate at Linklaters since 2019. She was appointed Managing Associate in 2023 and completed a secondment in our London office, UK, from September 2023 to March 2024.

She is a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht, the Forum Investitionsprüfung e.V. as well as the German-Chinese lawyers association.

Yuxin Weirich studied law at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz as well as at the Zhejiang-University, Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China.

She speaks German, English and Chinese.
