Linklaters Advises Itaú and ICBC on an up to US$80m Syndicated Term Loan Facility Granted to Hokchi

We advised Banco Itaú Uruguay S.A. and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Mexico S.A. in connection with an up to US$80m syndicated term loan facility granted to Hokchi Energy S.A. de C.V. (“Hokchi”), a subsidiary of Pan American Energy S.L. (“PAE”), under a New York law governed agreement, guaranteed by PAE. 

Hokchi is an offshore oil production company in Mexico and will use the proceeds from the loan to refinance existing indebtedness of the company. 

The Linklaters deal team was led by Partners Conrado Tenaglia and Michael Bassett, alongside Associate Juan Mata and Foreign Attorney Ramón Poliche.
