Linklaters ranks Top 20 in Social Mobility Employer Index
Linklaters has been ranked amongst the Top 20 employers for taking sustained action to advance social mobility and for ensuring that it is accessing and progressing talent from all backgrounds. This is the sixth year in a row that Linklaters has been named a top employer in the Social Mobility Foundation’s Social Mobility Employer Index.
The Social Mobility Foundation assesses the steps being taken by employers to ensure that they are open to and progressing talent from all social backgrounds – designing the Index as a benchmarking tool for organisations on how they are performing on social mobility.
The Index focusses on seven key areas, including how organisations work with the next generation, routes to the employer and how they attract, retain and progress talent.
Simon Branigan, ExCom Champion for Social Mobility at Linklaters, commented:
“We’ve been working hard to ensure that we have the right interventions in place to level the playing field and to make sure that we’re reaching and retaining talent from less advantaged backgrounds. There is more work to be done but we are committed to driving and sustaining change, supported by an inclusive culture that fosters diversity.”
Linklaters is committed to ensuring that personal background, social identity and socio-economic circumstances are not barriers to success, with social mobility being one of the global priorities within the firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.
