Overview
As the firm's German Senior Partner and former head of the firm’s German finance division, Kurt specialises in structured capital markets products with a focus on true sale securitisations of different asset classes, structured covered bonds, synthetic securitisations, derivatives and other financing products.
In addition, Kurt advises bidders and purchasers on portfolio transactions (in particular NPL portfolios) on a regular basis.
Recently, Kurt has advised on several asset-based finance transactions with a focus on the fintech-sector.
Kurt spent two years working in the legal department of Commerzbank from 2000 to 2001.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in capital markets law and has advised on many major transactions in the market.

Kurt studied law at the University of Frankfurt am Main.
