Linklaters advises EIC Fund on participation to the €35 million Series C fundraising of CorWave
Linklaters has advised EIC Fund on its participation to the Series C fundraising of CorWave, a French-based company developing an implantable heart pump (Left Ventricular Assist Device, LVAD) based on a breakthrough technology, the wave membrane pump.
This funding round of €35 million involved CorWave’s existing shareholders as well as leading investors in the life sciences sector, such as Bpifrance, Novo Holdings, Seventure, Sofinnova Partners and Ysios Capital, and also new investors, including EIC Fund.
CorWave is now the first private company to date to count the European Commission amongst its shareholders, with the first investment of EIC Fund, a fund with €3.6 billion resources to deploy, which brings €15 million to this funding round.
