Overview

Igor has over a decade of experience advising clients on equity and debt capital markets transactions, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate governance and SEC compliance matters. Igor has handled many of the firm’s most complex transactions, including transformational M&A, financings, and IPOs across a broad range industries, with a particular focus on the mining and financial technology sectors.

Work highlights

  • Sibanye-Stillwater: advising across a range of transactions, including its SEC-registered reorganisation and relistings on the New York Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, US$500m gold and platinum stream with Franco-Nevada, US$286m acquisition of Lonmin, and SEC-registered US$1bn rights issue.
  • Wise: advising on the establishment of its dual class share structure and £8bn direct listing on the London Stock Exchange (the first of its kind).
  • Gold Fields: advising on multiple transactions, including its US$252m equity placing, the issuance of US$500m 6.125% notes due 2029, and acquisitions and disposals of various assets.
  • Jagex: advising on its acquisition of US-based video game developer Pipeworks Studios.
  • Anglo American: advising on its demerger of its South African thermal coal operations, Thungela Resources.
  • International Consolidated Airlines Group: advising the underwriters on the €2.75bn rights issue of IAG.
  • Rio Tinto: advising on its US$6.7bn strategic acquisition of Arcadium Lithium (NYSE and ASX listed).
  • Mondi: advising on the simplification of its dual-listed company structure into a single holding company structure on the London Stock Exchange.
  • Funding Circle: advising the underwriters on the £1.5bn IPO and London Stock Exchange listing of Funding Circle.
  • Republic of Slovenia and Republic of Montenegro: advising on multiple sovereign bond issuances and liability management exercises.

Igor serves on the governing board of Nightingale Primary School in Hackney.

Igor holds a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law where he graduated cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Hunter College.
