Jeanne Lévy-Bruhl

Jeanne is a Managing Associate in the Antitrust and Foreign Investment practice of Linklaters in Paris.

Her practice focuses on European and French competition law.

She has experience working in all aspects of European and French competition law including complex merger proceedings, abuse of dominance cases, cartels investigations and State aid.

Work highlights

Jeanne’s prior experience includes:

• Advising BNP Paribas on the antitrust aspects of the reorganisation of its strategic automotive financing partnership with Stellantis.
• Advising the French listed company and automotive Tier-1 supplier Plastic Omnium, on its strategic acquisition of Varroc Lighting Systems, among the top 10 suppliers of automotive lighting systems.
• Advising Carrier Global Corporation on its acquisition of Toshiba Corporation’s ownership stake in Toshiba Carrier Corporation, a variable refrigerant flow and light commercial HVAC joint venture with Carrier Global Corporation.
• Advising GIP in its acquisition of New Suez, through a consortium including, alongside GIP, Meridiam, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and CNP Assurances. New Suez includes the companies and activities divested by Veolia following its acquisition of Suez and accounts for approximately half of Suez;
• Advising a French multinational active in the rail transport industry on its acquisition of the global rail solutions division of another major player in the industry, creating a global mobility leader with €75 bn in backlog, cleared by the European Commission and other antitrust agencies subject to remedies;
• Advising a French multinational active in the rail transport industry before the European Commission and multiple other antitrust agencies in its terminated €15 billion combination with the mobility division of another major player active in the rail transport industry.

Jeanne joined Linklaters in 2021. Prior to joining Linklaters, Jeanne worked several years as an associate for another leading international law firm based in Brussels, where she has acted in cases in a wide-array of cross-border transactions, including a European Phase II procedure in the transport sector. Before then, Jeanne completed internships at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission and at the French Competition Authority.

Jeanne also completed a seven-month secondment at ENGIE, a global energy group active in the fields of gas, electricity and energy services, advising on a wide range of antitrust matters.

Jeanne graduated from the College of Europe with an LL.M. in European Law and holds a Master degree in European Business Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

Jeanne is fluent in French and English.
