Lena Mencin

Lena is a US-qualified associate in the Corporate/M&A department of the Linklaters Frankfurt office. Lena has experience representing clients in international capital markets transactions, cross-border corporate transactions, including private mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

Work highlights

• Porsche and Volkswagen: advised as Issuer counsel on the proposed IPO and listing of Porsche on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the related pre-deal corporate reorganisation.
• SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co. KGaA: Advised the Underwriters on the IPO of Schott Pharma on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
• Ams-OSRAM: advised issuers side on the Company’s EUR 2.5bn recapitalization including a discounted rights issue and high yield bond offering 
• VT5 Acquisition Company AG: advised UBS on the de-SPAC of the VT5 Acquisition Company AG, the first de-SPAC on the SIX Swiss Exchange, and the related financing and acquisition of the R&S Group. 

Lena joined Linklaters as a U.S. Associate in 2022. Prior to joining Linklaters, Lena worked for an international law firm based in New York.

Lena is a member of the New York Bar, the Frankfurt Bar, and the German-American Lawyers Association e.V.

Lena completed her Law degree (LL.B.) at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. She also completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Pennsylvania and a Business and Law Diploma at the Wharton Business School.

She speaks Slovenian, English, German, Serbian and French.
