Tom is a Managing Associate in the M&A team in London, with over a decade of experience advising financial sponsors on public and private M&A, co-investments and joint-ventures, structured equity investments, reorganisations, refinancings, management investment plans and portfolio company issues.

Tom’s experience includes advising:
- Warburg Pincus on its minority equity investment in United Trust Bank, valuing the business at approximately £520m.
- TPG on the consortium arrangements relating to the acquisition of the Techem Group from Partners Group, CDPQ and OTPP, valuing the business at approximately €6.6bn.
- Hg on the investment by CPPIB and Sofina in team.blue, valuing the business at €4.8bn and the bolt-on acquisition of Loopia from Axcel.
- I Squared Capital on the acquisition of an industrial liquid storage business from Rubis SCA for €375m.
- iCON Infrastructure on the £910m acquisition of Alliance Medical from Life Healthcare.
- Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners on its consortium with Spirit Super in connection with the acquisition of Geelong Ports from Brookfield and State Super, reported to value the business at A$1.1bn.

Professional experience
In 2024, Tom spent 5 months on secondment as a senior legal counsel at Hg in London, where he assisted with managing, negotiating and executing acquisitions, disposals and reinvestments and providing ongoing advice regarding portfolio company issues, management investment plans and general legal and compliance matters.
Between 2022 and 2023, Tom spent 18 months on secondment as a senior overseas practitioner at Allens, Linklaters’ alliance partner in Sydney, Australia.
In 2017, Tom spent 6 months on secondment as a legal counsel at Centerbridge Partners in London, where he assisted with the management, negotiation and execution of private equity, credit and real estate transactions and general legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining the Linklaters M&A team in 2016, Tom also spent time working in Linklaters’ Leveraged Finance and Investment Funds practices in London and Banking and Projects practice in Singapore.
