A number of ESG developments occurred over 2021, both at EU level (in particular finalisation of the Article 8 Taxonomy acts & related Commission FAQs) and UK level (TCFD roll-out, PRA climate change adaptation report) that will directly/indirectly impact many banks and insurers. The ESG related MiFID II rules are due to come into effect in the summer and will have significant implications for many.
