The Act introducing representative actions into Polish law, a legal mechanism that enables consumers to collectively protect their interests through statements of claim filed on behalf of their group by a qualified entity, came into force on 29 August 2024. The Act changes and supplements the existing regulations on collective actions and consumer protection in line with the European Union Directive 2020/1828 (“Directive”).
