Linklaters appoints Françoise Maigrot as Managing Partner in Paris for a four-year term
Linklaters has announced the appointment of Françoise Maigrot as Managing Partner of the firm’s Paris office as of 1 January 2023 for a four-year term.
Françoise Maigrot joined Linklaters Paris as an intern before becoming a partner in 1999 and heading the firm’s Real Estate practice. Recognised in Real Estate Law, Françoise has built a leading practice within the firm that supports both French and international clients, in particular investment funds, banks and end users, requiring the establishment of complex financial, legal and tax arrangements. She regularly advises on major transactions in both the French and international markets.
The team stands out in the market for its "exceptional quality", "responsiveness", "closeness to its clients" (Legal 500 EMEA 2022) and its capacity “to gain the trust not only of the clients, but also the other side of the table, which is very valuable and often makes deals possible" (Chambers & Partners 2022).
Since 2020, Françoise has been a member of the Partnership Board, the firm's governance body, which oversees Linklaters' strategic operations globally and alignment with the firm's values.
Françoise will succeed Bertrand Andriani, partner who leads the firm’s Financing, Energy and Infrastructure team in Paris, as well as the Francophone Africa practice.
Françoise Maigrot comments:
“I am very honoured to succeed Bertrand Andriani. As we approach our 50th anniversary, we recognise that Linklaters Paris occupies a prominent place in France and within Linklaters. Reinforced integration of our offer in Europe, increasing focus on ESG issues and new technologies, pursuit of our societal commitments and of course the development of our talents, will be among my priorities as Managing Partner. I look forward to supporting these initiatives alongside all the partners, to continue to provide our clients with excellent services that anticipate and meet their needs. Finally, I will strive to uphold the fundamental values of Linklaters, which are the foundation of our collective successes”.
Linklaters’ Paris office was established almost 50 years ago and is one of the oldest international business law firms in France. With 170 lawyers, including 36 partners situated in Paris, the firm is able to provide legal and tax advice in all key areas of business law.
