Overview
Eugenie joined the Corporate M&A practice group of Linklaters Luxembourg in 2016 and became Managing Associate in 2022.
Her previous experience includes working as a teaching assistant and researcher at the Belgian University KU Leuven.
Eugenie’s expertise includes general company law, listed companies and equity capital markets (including SPACs), restructuring, M&A deals, including in the real estate sector and giving of legal advice to private equity firms.
Experience highlights:
- The joint bookrunners on the private placement of the units in Lakestar SPAC I SE, the first Luxembourg SPAC after more than a decade
- A Korean private equity firm: advising on the acquisition of a producer of a sole copper foil manufacturer with operations in Europe (including in Luxembourg).
- Triton Fund V on the corporate set-up of several investments by way of internal and/or external debt and equity financing, including notably (i) the acquisition of all the shares in Clinigen Group, a global, specialist pharmaceutical services and products platform focused on providing ethical access to medicines and (ii) the acquisition by way of debt and equity financing of the family-owned business All4Labels, headquartered in Hamburg, one of the world’s leading label companies and pioneer in digital printing solutions
- Centerbridge Partners L.P. in relation to the restructuring of the existing investment in the France Bonhomme Group
- The initial offering and subsequent listing of the shares of Shurgard Self Storage SA on Euronext Brussels
- Steinhoff, in relation to the global restructuring of Steinhoff International Holdings N.V.
Education and qualifications
She holds a PhD in law from the KU Leuven (Belgium) as well as a Master degree in law (LL.M.) from the KU Leuven (Belgium).
She is fluent in Dutch, English, French and Spanish.
