Overview

Based in Paris for more than 20 years, Kathryn has extensive experience of advising both lenders and borrowers on many different types of financing transactions, including public and private investment grade and leveraged acquisition financing. She also advises on corporate syndicated lending and restructurings.

 

Kathryn was seconded to HSBC in 2003, to the bank’s EMEA syndicated finance origination desk, and to BNP Paribas in 2005, in the bank’s French corporates syndicated finance team.

 

Work highlights

Kathryn has led on many of the market’s most significant transactions. These include advising:

  • the club of lenders making available financing to Stahl to finance its acquisition of ICP Industrial Solutions Group as well as refinancing its existing facilities
  • the mandated lead arrangers in relation to the revolving facilities made available to Believe in the context of its IPO
  • the global co-ordinators in relation to Casino’s term loan B and revolving credit facilities
  • the mandated lead arrangers in relation to the facilities made available to Atos in the context of its transformation plan
  • Hg on the facilities made available in the context of its acquisition of Septeo
  • the mandated lead arrangers on Picard’s super senior revolving credit facility
  • CGG S.A. in relation to super senior revolving credit facility agreement entered into alongside an issuance of senior secured notes
  • regularly a leading insurance group on its loan facilities including in relation to collateral obligations at Lloyd’s
  • the mandated lead arrangers on the financing for KKR’s public cash offer for Albioma

Education and qualifications

Kathryn studied law at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, including a year studying at Poitiers University.

 

She speaks English and French.
