Overview
Louis is a corporate counsel in the Paris office.
He advises listed and non-listed companies, as well as private equity funds, on their strategic public and private M&A transactions. He has sound experience on deals involving targets in regulated sectors, such as FIG, insurance and pharmaceutical sectors.
Work highlights
Louis has advised on a number of landmark transactions, including advising:
- CVC Capital Partners, in its acquisition of the listed group April SA
- BNP Paribas, in its investment in the Spanish group Allfunds Bank, as well as in its acquisition, jointly with Banque PSA Finance, of the Opel brand credit institutions
- Advent International, in its acquisition of Laird PLC
- Eiffage, on the acquisition of Saipem’s maritime work activities as well as on the acquisition of a 5% stake in listed company Getlink S.E. (former Eurotunnel)
- Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe (CMNE) and Nord Europe Assurance (NEA) in the merger of NEA and Groupe des Assurances du Crédit Mutuel (GACM)
- Sanofi in the sale of a portfolio of certain consumer healthcare products to Ipsen
- Anacap Funds on their acquisition of Barclays Bank’s French retail bank and insurance operations
- AXA in its joint-venture with MetLife Inc. combining their global employee benefits activities
- Santander in connection with its European wide partnerships with Banque PSA Finance
- Holcim on the merger of equals with Lafarge
Education and qualifications
Louis studied law at the Universities of Paris X Nanterre and Paris II Assas.
He holds a Master in Business Law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
