Amendments to the Interest Rate and Calculation Provisions under the CCC of Thailand

As a reflection of Thailand’s economic climate and the objective of reducing the onerous burden imposed on debtors by high interest and default interest rates, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emergency Decree amending the Civil and Commercial Code B.E. 2564 (2021) was published in the Royal Gazette on 10 April 2021 and subsequently became effective on 11 April 2021.
