Linklaters advises on the qualified institutions placement for Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited

Linklaters advised Jefferies India Private Limited and JM Financial Limited, as book running lead managers, on the INR 24bn qualified institutions placement (QIP) for Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar), a global automotive systems and components manufacturer. 

The issuance received strong interest from institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds – reflecting positively on the company's long-term growth prospects. The proceeds from the transaction will be used to bolster the capital structures and growth strategies of the company. 

Sona Comstar is one of India’s leading automotive technology companies, designing, manufacturing and supplying highly engineered, mission critical automotive systems and components such as differential assemblies, differential gears, conventional and micro-hybrid starter motors, BSG systems, EV traction motors (BLDC and PMSM) and motor control units to automotive OEMs across US, Europe, India and China, for both electrified and non-electrified powertrain segments, across all vehicle categories such as passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, electric two & three wheelers.
