Overview
Cheri is a senior lawyer with substantial experience advising both issuers and investment banks on equity and debt issuances. Her expertise includes IPOs, privatisations, rights issues, equity-linked bond offerings, Medium Term Note (MTN) programmes, liability management exercises and investment grade debt issuances.
Cheri also has substantial experience in public and private M&A transactions, as well as in advising and assisting SEC-registered corporates with periodic reporting under the U.S. Exchange Act of 1934.
Work highlights
Cheri has led, or been a key advisor, on many major capital markets transactions, both in Italy and across Europe. These include advising:
- on the IPOs of Unieuro S.p.A., Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group and Cassiopea (listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange) as well as the announced IPOs of Intercos, IBL Banca, Rhiag and Domus Italia (subsequently withdrawn)
- on the IPOs of Maidenform (listed on the New York Stock Exchange), Espírito Santo Saúde, Seplat (dual-listed on the London and the Nigerian Stock Exchanges), Aluminium Bahrain, BH Macro
- on the rights issues of UniCredit, Beni Stabili, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, G4S, Inchcape, Resolution and Liberty
- UniCredit on its sale of a 10% stake in FinecoBank
- the underwriters on a sale by Fininvest of a 7.8% equity stake in Mediaset
- Telecom Italia on its €1.3bn mandatory convertible bond issuance
- the underwriters on Enel’s $1.25bn hybrid bond offering and US MTN establishment

Cheri holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University. She speaks English, French and Italian.
