Overview
Kentaro is a Japanese and England & Wales qualified lawyer specialising in world-scale outbound joint-law project finance and general banking transactions, as well as in both outbound and inbound renewable energy and infrastructure transactions, including solar power, offshore wind, LNG plants, railways and airports projects.
He has advised many ECAs, commercial banks, EPC contractors and Japanese major trading houses.
Kentaro worked as an in-house legal counsel at a leading UK investment bank (which included a secondment to the London structured products legal team) where he specialised in structured notes, repackaged products, investment funds and Japanese financial regulations.
Education and qualifications
Kentaro acquired a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tokyo in 2011 and subsequently obtained a Juris Doctor degree at Chuo University Law School in 2013.
Kentaro speaks English and Japanese.
