Overview
Ludovic is an associate in the Paris energy and infrastructure team with more than 5 years’ experience, working on complex projects development with a particular focus on projects in the mining and infrastructure sector.
He works more broadly on industrial projects in respect of energy transition in France, Africa and Middle East and is also versed in matters related to joint-ventures and M&A.
Prior to joining Linklaters, Ludovic was an associate in a leading French independent firm and also worked for French public administrations.
He studied and worked abroad for several years (Armenia, China, Morocco, Iran).
Work Highlights
- WCS Consortium: advising in the successful bidding process for the iron ore deposits of Simandou in Guinea, and negotiations with the Guinean government for public-private partnership agreements aimed at constructing and operating a 700km-long railway (the trans-Guinean) and a deep-water port.
- WCS Consortium: advising in the renegotiations with the Guinean transitional government and the mining group Rio Tinto to develop the Simandou rail and port infrastructure through a joint venture Compagnie du Transguinéen (CTG).
- Société Minière de Boké: advising the leading Guinean bauxite company on its mining operations in the northwest of Guinea, notably in relation with the granting of concession decrees for the Santou II and Houda deposits.
- United Mining Suppliers International: advising a leading West African mining logistics group, and its subsidiary Alteo, a world leader in specialty aluminas, on the development of an alumina refinery and associated agreements with Guinean authorities.
- Advising a confidential client in the acquisition of a bauxite mining company in Guinea.
- Holcim: advising the leading cement producer in the acquisition of a prominent independent French producer and distributor of construction materials.
- Vinci Airports: advising in the negotiations with Iran Airports Company, the public company that operates civilian airports and manages air navigation in Iran, for public-private partnership agreements regarding the development of two major airports in Iran: Mashhad and Isfahan.
- Peugeot and Citroën (PSA Group): advising in the creation of two joint ventures with Iran Khodro and SAIPA, the two main Iranian car manufacturers, as well as in negotiating the related commercial and industrial agreements.
- Voltalia: advising a listed international service provider, on the development of a portfolio of mini grids in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Professional experience
Ludovic is a member the Association of Young Auditors of IHEDN, a French public administrative establishment dedicated to expertise and awareness in Defence matters.
He taught corporate law as visiting lecturer in two French leading Business Schools.
