Energy & Infrastructure Disputes
Our practice
The energy sector is entering an unprecedented era of change. Whilst the global demand for energy continues to grow, climate change has spurred governments into setting ambitious net zero targets and forced businesses to invest in cleaner, more sustainable energy sources. As a result, companies are facing new challenges and are seeking ever more innovative and practical advice from their lawyers.
Our global energy & infrastructure disputes team has a proven track record of advising on disputes throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, using litigation, arbitration mediation and expert determination. Our team’s expertise is diverse, spanning nuclear, natural resources, wind, oil and gas, mining, water, utilities and major infrastructure projects, among many others. The team is also highly experienced in investment treaty and Energy Charter Treaty claims (acting for corporates, financial institutions and governments) and in advising clients on investment protection strategies, as well as advising on regulatory matters in the sector.
Our energy & infrastructure disputes team benefits from a wealth of cross-practice industry experience, working seamlessly with the firm’s market leading energy and infrastructure team, as well as the banking and finance, corporate/M&A, EU/competition/regulatory, environment and planning, tax and structured finance groups.
