Overview

Thomas is specialised in international and national data protection law, telecommunications, and IT law. He also has particular expertise in the regulation of new technologies, in particular on AI and digital platforms. He regularly advises on complex technology projects and accompanies outsourcing or M&A transactions from a data protection and IT law perspective.

Thomas also advises companies on complaints proceedings against data protection authorities and represents companies in and out of court against claims for damages under data protection laws.

Professional experience

Thomas joined Linklaters as an associate in 2022.

Thomas is a member of the German Association for Law and Information Technology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Recht und Informatik – DGRI).

Education and qualifications

Thomas studied law at the University of Munich, before completing a PhD in law at the University of Speyer.

He speaks German and English.
