Overview

Dorothee specialises in German and European Antitrust & Foreign Investment law. She has particular expertise in merger control proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission as well as in advising on antitrust compliance, cartel proceedings and internal investigations.

Dorothee combines legal experience with bundled knowledge and is responsible for the management of innovative know-how resources and for monitoring current developments for clients.

  • BP on the acquisition of Veba Oel (Aral) and the sale of Ruhrgas before the German Federal Cartel Office.
  • Omya: on the acquisition of J.M. Huber before the European Commission.

Professional experience

Dorothee joined Linklaters in 2000 (until 2001 Oppenhoff & Rädler). She was appointed Managing Associate in 2004 and Managing Associate in 2012.

She is a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V. and the Juristen des deutschen und französischen Rechts e.V. and Alumni of the College of Europe in Bruges.

Education and qualifications

Dorothee studied law at the University of Cologne and the Université de la Sorbonne, Paris I. She also completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the College of Europe in Bruges in Belgium. 

She speaks German, English, French and Italian.
