Overview
Victor is an associate in the Brussels tax group advising Belgian and international clients on tax issues relating to their domestic and cross-border operations and transactions, as well as on contentious tax matters.
His practice includes advising on complex corporate income tax matters, VAT and registration duties, regional and local taxes, cross-border mobility, M&A deals, reorganisations and real estate transactions. Victor also assists clients in their negotiations with tax authorities or in the context of tax audits, and he represents them before the administrative and judicial courts.
Victor works for clients in a broad range of sectors, including financial services, energy, industry, hospitality and tourism, retail, government and public sector, real estate and construction.

Victor has assisted domestic and international clients on a wide range of tax matters. His recent experience includes:
- assisting major Belgian and foreign real estate companies on various tax questions, including with respect to real estate acquisitions, the structuring of development and promotion projects, VAT and other indirect taxes.
- assisting multinational companies with questions relating to permanent establishments and employees working in Belgium.
- the day-to-day tax issues of a listed multinational insurance company.
- the tax treatment of Belgian and foreign investment funds, both at the level of the fund and of the investors.
- obtaining administrative decisions and tax rulings in connection with acquisition structures, cross-border investment structuring via Luxembourg, and VAT on the lease of buildings and warehouses.
- assisting a French alternative investment fund manager with the recovery of Belgian withholding tax on dividends distributed by Belgian resident companies to Luxembourg investment funds.
- advising a prominent Belgian foundation on a full review and update of all legal and tax aspects of its philanthropic structuring.
- the tax aspects of (cross-border) transactions and reorganisations.
- assisting clients in the framework of tax audits and tax disputes (including before the tribunals, the courts of appeals and the Belgian Constitutional Court).
Professional experience
Before joining Linklaters in September 2024, Victor worked for three years in the tax department of a Belgian leading law firm. He also interned in two prominent American law firms.
Victor is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) since 2021.
Education and qualifications
Victor holds a Master of Laws from UCLouvain and studied at the University of Vienna as part of an Erasmus exchange. He also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Université libre de Bruxelles and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.).
