Our approach to Generative AI
Innovation is what we do.
We have a long history of engaging with emerging technologies. Generative AI is no different for us.
now focused on finding ways to make GenAI enhance our service offering.
We collaborated with Opus2 to develop and deploy a game-changing technology to transform the management of investigations.
We launched a next generation online due-diligence platform. The platform sets itself apart as it can be customised to each clients’ business needs.
We are the only law firm to have our own proprietary contracting platform. Where we can’t find technology to suit our clients’ needs, we’re brave enough to build it ourselves.
We were the first magic circle firm to use Forage for virtual internships, and saw an immediate increase in the diversity of our applicant pool. We’re proud to use technology to increase access to our profession.
We built an AI powered search and knowledge management system, powered by iManage RAVN. Enabling any one person in our firm to deliver the entire firm to a client.
We were the first law firm with a backed incubator. We went on to create a number of products, including ISDA Create, the foundation on which CreateiQ was then built.
Worked in collaboration with Eigen to help develop their legal AI platform – the precursor to the creation of Nakhoda.
We were the first major City Law firm to develop an online commoditised legal service.

Upskilling our people
We have been giving our people – and our clients – lots of training on GenAI, from how to explore use cases to prompt engineering training, so that they can get the best out of products they have access to.
Our training includes a foundation series of generative AI online learning modules (part of our digital academy) with advanced training offered to those who want to understand how AI technology can be adopted in a law firm. We are also working with a world-leading law school to deliver intensive training to a small cohort of employees on how to design and deliver AI solutions.
