Linklaters advises Amarenco on a €500 million portfolio financing for solar infrastructure development in Europe

Linklaters has advised Amarenco, one of Europe’s leading renewable energy and storage IPP, on securing a multi-country €500 million debt financing. Made available by a pool of lenders, including Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg, Rabobank and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (for the senior debt), and Berenberg (for the junior debt), this financing aims to support the construction and operation of solar projects in Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Austria, as well as the refinancing of existing debts.

With an additional accordion facility of €150 million, Amarenco is committed to the long-term production, storage, and provision of regenerative energy solutions across Europe, with a capacity of 650 MW in operation and a multi-GW development pipeline.
