Linklaters’ Nicole Kar features in The Lawyers’ Hot 100 2023

Linklaters is delighted that Nicole Kar, Global Head of Linklaters’ Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group, has been featured in The Lawyers’ Hot 100 2023.

Nicole’s standout career has seen her act most recently on the successful overturning of the CMA’s decision in relation to price comparison websites in the Competition Appeal Tribunal and on two appeals in relation to generic pharmaceuticals decisions; as a specialist adviser to the Foreign Affairs Select Committee on the National Security and Investment Bill as it underwent debate and amendments in the Commons and Lords, whilst also giving evidence to the Business Select Committee on national security issues.

Nicole has a reputation for successful CAT litigation and advises the FTSE 100, sovereign-backed investors and financial sponsors on national security reviews under the NSIA. Her current role sees her advising alongside Simon Pritchard on Viasat’s on merger with Inmarsat, which could create the largest satellite business in the world. As foreign investment controls tighten, Nicole and the firm’s market-leading Antitrust & Foreign Investment team, are in prime position to support businesses.
