Overview

Guillaume is a Counsel in the firm’s Paris office structured finance and securitisation practice. He advises corporates, investment banks, private equity funds, asset managers and fintech companies on a broad range of structured finance and securitisation transactions with a recent focus on sale and financing of non-performing loan portfolios, off-balance sheet trade receivable securitisations, whole business securitisations in the mobility sector, synthetic securitisations and Fintech and Proptech business financing.

Work highlights

Recent transactions of significance with substantial involvement include:

  • BNPP on the structuring of the first car fleet securitisation of Virtuo in France, Spain and Germany.
  • the acquisition and related leveraged financing of a €200m (GBV) portfolio of SME’s non-performing loans (NPLs) sold by a major French bank, advising a French leading servicing platform as buyer and equity investor (Project Orsay);
  • the acquisition and related leveraged financing of a €300m (GBV) portfolio of SME’s and individuals non-performing mortgage loans (NPLs) sold by a major French bank, advising a French leading servicing platform and a US PE fund as buyers and equity investors (Project Gaya);
  • the €800M vehicle fleet securitisation financing of Avis group in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, advising the arrangers and the senior investors;
  • the first green energy whole business securitisation transaction in France and Chile for NEoT Green Mobility (NGM), a French start-up created by EDF Pulse Croissance, Mitsubishi Corporation and the Caisse des Dépôts (the French State banking arm) providing electric batteries and transportation and mobility equipment solutions to private and public clients, advising Crédit Agricole CIB as arranger and NGM as sponsor;
  • the setting-up of a pan-European off-balance sheet revolving securitisation transaction for a major rail transportation company for a newly created subsidiary dedicated to rail freight business, advising CA CIB as arranger;
  • the €1,4bn SME loans portfolio securitisation for Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, advising the EIF as mezzanine investor;

Education and qualifications

Guillaume holds a Degree in Banking and Financial Law and a Degree in Business Law from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

He speaks French and English.
