Linklaters advises NEPI Rockcastle on the acquisition of Silesia City Center for EUR 405 million

Linklaters has advised NEPI Rockcastle, Europe’s third-largest listed retail real estate company, on its acquisition of Silesia City Center in Katowice, Poland, for EUR 405 million.

This acquisition represents one of the largest shopping centre transactions in Central and Eastern Europe in recent years.

Silesia City Center is a dominant shopping centre in Katowice, with strong operational performance. It offers over 88,400 sqm of gross lettable area and has an occupancy rate of 98.4%, with anchor tenants including Cinema City, Half Price, H&M, Kaufland, Media Markt, Primark, Reserved, TK Maxx, and Zara.

This transaction marks another advisory role for Linklaters with NEPI Rockcastle this year, following the Magnolia Park shopping centre acquisition from Union Investment for EUR 373 million.

The transaction was led by Tomasz Trystuła (managing associate), supported by Marta Strykowska (senior associate) and Maksymilian Hau (associate) from the Warsaw real estate practice. Janusz Dzianachowski (national managing partner) supervised the transaction.
