Overview

Ramsey is a senior associate in Linklaters’ U.S. Finance practice specializing in Restructuring & Insolvency. He advises debtors, secured lenders, agents, and other credit providers and stakeholders facing bankruptcy- and insolvency-related issues, with particular expertise in chapter 11 proceedings.

Ramsey also has experience advising lenders and borrowers in complex finance transactions, with an emphasis in distressed scenarios. Ramsey’s experience includes significant cross-border deal work.

  • McDermott International, Inc.: advising Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as revolving and LC agent and collateral agent under the LC facilities in the global restructuring and chapter 15 recognition proceedings.
  • A trucking & logistics company: advising in its international restructuring strategy and chapter 15 recognition proceedings.
  • Venator Materials Venator PLC: advising a major secured lender under the prepetition revolving ABL facilities in the chapter 11 cases.
  • Numerous companies as debtors: advising in connection with chapter 11 cases across a wide variety of industries, including retail, logistics, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, energy, fitness, and aerospace.

Education and qualifications

Ramsey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis on corporate finance and obtained his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude.
