Making Links Asia University Programme

The Making Links Asia University Programme is designed specifically to help talented students from underrepresented groups succeed in their early careers by supporting them on the development of technical and professional skills whilst building strong commercial fluency and a global outlook. This year, we are delighted to expand the programme even further across our Asia and Middle East network to Riyadh, joining Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong SAR, Jakarta, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • opportunities to connect with lawyers and students in the region;
  • exclusive access to Linklaters’ leading legal experts, as well as local office activities throughout the programme; and

"The programme has significantly enhanced my confidence and communication skills. Initially, I lacked confidence in my English and legal knowledge. However, my coach and interviewer continuously encouraged me and taught me effective methods, which not only boosted my confidence but also motivated me to keep striving for improvement. Through various interactive sessions and feedback from my coach, I have become more self-aware and better at articulating my thoughts and ideas. Additionally, the exposure to the legal profession has given me a clearer sense of direction and purpose in my personal development journey."

“The success of our inaugural Making Links Asia University Programme has led to its expansion to Riyadh this year, as we work towards providing access to unique opportunities and resources to even more students. Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion through skills development, experiential learning and mentorship remains a key priority for us across Asia and the Middle East and we're excited to welcome the new cohort!”
