Overview
Jill is specialised in employment law and has extensive experience advising and representing employers in high profile transactions and employment law matters. She advises on the full range of employment issues, including works councils, transfers of employees, harmonisation of employment terms and conditions and individual and collective dismissals. She is involved in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and provides advice on pay transparency, equal treatment and whistleblowers. She has a particular expertise in remuneration, advising on executive pay, incentive plans, as well as remuneration restrictions and structures in the financial sector.

- Carrier Global Corporation: advising on the $4.95bn sale of its security business Access Solutions to Honeywell International Inc., including apre-closing restructuring and a collective dismissal process in the Netherlands.
- Carrier Global Corporation: advising on the $775m sale of its international commercial refrigeration business to joint venture partner Haier.
- Klöckner & Co SE: advising on the sale of its commodity distribution business and employment matters related to this carve-out, specifically assisting with the Dutch works council consultation processes and merger notifications.
- Infracapital Partners: Advising on its acquisition of Vopak Rotterdam Botlek, a specialised Dutch liquid storage terminal business in Rotterdam, from Vopak Management Netherlands B.V.
- Cummins Inc: advising on the acquisition of parts of Faurecia's exhaust aftertreatment business, including facilities in the Netherlands, USA, Germany, and France.
- CarNext: advising on the closure of CarNext’s operations in the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Norway, France and Italy, including the CarNext headquarters in Amsterdam.
- Unilever PLC: advising on the €4.5bn sale of the world’s leading tea business, a portfolio of 34 leading brands, 11 factories and three tea estates in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania to CVC Capital Partners.
- An Asian based private equity fund: advising on their acquisition of Philips' Domestic Appliances Division.
- Visa: advising on its acquisition of The Currency Cloud Group Limited, a UK-based fintech company that provides innovative foreign exchange solutions for cross-border payments, including advice on remuneration structures in the regulated sector.
- ING Bank, KBC Bank, Rabobank, Belfius: advising on the sale of Payconiq International S.A. to EPI Company SE, a transaction that won the Best Deal Mid-Market of 2023 at the Dutch M&A Awards.
- Several banks and corporates: advising on reorganisations, closure of operations and collective dismissals, including works council related matters.
- Prysmian Netherlands: litigated against its works council on a dispute concerning shifts and working hours of factory workers.
Professional experience
Jill started her career in the Linklaters’ Employment & Incentives practice in 2016. Her arrival has been a significant step towards strengthening the firm’s Employment & Incentives practice in Amsterdam. Jill was promoted to Managing Associate in 2022 and was seconded to the Linklaters’ Incentives practice in 2024.
Education and qualifications
Jill studied at Tilburg University and obtained a master’s degree in Laws, both in private law and employment law. Jill also studied for a semester at Bocconi University in Milan.
