Overview
Mackenzie is a managing associate in the London Corporate practice. Mackenzie has experience acting for a variety of clients on complex cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Linklaters, Mackenzie spent four and a half years as a corporate associate at a leading New Zealand law firm.
Work highlights
Mackenzie’s recent experience includes advising:
- Perfetti Van Melle on their US$1.35bn acquisition of Mondelez’s developed-market gum business in Europe and North America.
- Generali on their acquisition of Conning Holdings Limited, a leading global asset manager for insurance and institutional clients, from Cathay Life, a subsidiary of Cathay Financial Holdings, and the resulting partnership between Cathay Life and Generali.
- Cerberus on their acquisition of a SEK 11.5bn portfolio of loans from Intrum.
- on the proposed sale of the Telegraph newspaper and the Spectator Magazine in the UK.
While in New Zealand, Mackenzie spent four months on a client secondment with Crown Infrastructure Partners (a Crown entity tasked with overseeing national infrastructure projects).
Education and qualifications
Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
