Alternative Dispute Resolution

Our lawyers are trained in the use of every technique to resolve a dispute. Outside the court room we have a proven track record of representing parties in mediations and utilising many other alternative methods of dispute resolution.

Several members of our litigation and arbitration teams have acted as mediators in commercial disputes and understand mediation from all perspectives. The firm was a founding member of the Commercial Mediation Group and actively promotes mediation wherever appropriate for clients.

We have successfully handled the mediations of many professional negligence claims, for both claimants and defendants, including several recent claims against solicitors and accountants. We have experience of mediating complex multi-party actions and, most recently, have assisted clients during mediations conducted virtually under Covid-19 restrictions.
